From Allah’s mercy, He gave us several ways for us to be able to avoid sins as much as we possibly can. One of the ways is captured in the following ayah:
🔵 “As for those who struggle in Our cause, We will surely guide them along Our Way. And Allah is certainly with the good-doers.” [Surah Al-Ankabut 29:69]
Some scholars say that this ayah means when we do the obligations / waajib, then one of Allah’s rewards is that He protects us from that which is prohibited / haram.
.
In another ayah, Allah says:
🔵 “Indeed, ˹genuine˺ prayer should deter ˹one˺ from indecency and wickedness.” [Surah Al-Ankabut 29:45]
Meaning, when we establish our salaah properly, it will push us away from filth such as vulgar language and vulgar behaviour. Proper salaah will help us quit the haram.
.
So strive in fulfilling the obligations that are due upon us so that we may earn protection from Allah. The more we fulfil this, the more encompassing Allah’s protection over us will be.
