Brothers and sisters, have you ever thought to yourself: What’s the greatest and sincerest deed that I have done for Allah?
.
In Sahih Al-Bukhari 2272, there is a hadith where Prophet Muhammad ﷺ talked about the three men who were trapped in a cave.

One of those men was someone who respected his parents, who were extremely old, and totally dependent on him. The second man stopped himself from committing adultery with the one person whom he loved, out of fear of Allah. And the last man was a person of truth, an honest person, who returned every single money / property to its rightful owner.
.
Imagine being trapped in a dark area, where there is no food, no water, and perhaps even with limited oxygen. No one could hear their cries for help. The situation seemed bleak. Escape seemed impossible. There was no way out.

Yet, Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala helped them by making the rock move away from the entrance of the cave. Why? Because they made du’a to Allah by virtue of an excellent, amazing good deed that they did sincerely because of Allah.
.
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us this hadith for a reason. When we are stuck with a calamity, when we are going through some difficult moments in life, where there doesn’t seem to be a doorway out, literally and figuratively, bring this hadith to mind.
.
Make du’a to Allah with the very best, sincere, elite good deed that we have done. Go to Allah with the most righteous deeds that we can, so that Allah can save us in this life as well as in the hereafter.

May Allah make us believers who are sincere in our good deeds, and accept them all from us. Ameen.
