Where is Pharaoh and his soldiers now, as you read this? There are sins that don’t get erased in this life and are carried with the person till they meet Allah. How to repent from sins is a matter all believers should be aware of.

Though Bani Israel just crossed the sea they saw a group of idol worshippers which caused them to look forward to doing the same. How did Prophet Musa react to their request of wanting to have an idol? What happens a Muslim tells another Muslim: “You are a kafir”?

***Pharoah and his soldiers in the afterlife***

[40 : 46] they are exposed to the Fire ˹in their graves˺ morning and evening. And on the Day the Hour will be established ˹it will be said˺, “Admit Pharaoh’s people into the harshest punishment ˹of Hell˺.”

[40 : 47] ˹Consider the Day˺ when they will dispute in the Fire, and the lowly ˹followers˺ will appeal to the arrogant ˹leaders˺, “We were your ˹dedicated˺ followers, will you then shield us from a portion of the Fire?”

[40 : 48] The arrogant will say, “We are all in it! ˹For˺ Allah has already passed judgment over ˹His˺ servants.”

[40 : 49] And those in the Fire will cry out to the keepers of Hell, “Pray to your Lord to lighten the torment for us ˹even˺ for one day!”

[40 : 50] The keepers will reply, “Did your messengers not ˹constantly˺ come to you with clear proofs?” They will say, “Yes ˹they did˺.” The keepers will say, “Then pray! Though the prayer of the disbelievers is only in vain.”

[40 : 51] We certainly help Our messengers and the believers, ˹both˺ in this worldly life and on the Day the witnesses will stand forth ˹for testimony˺—

[40 : 52] the Day the wrongdoers’ excuses will be of no benefit to them. They will be condemned and will have the worst outcome.

***Bani Israel tendency to want to worship idols***

[7 : 138] We brought the Children of Israel across the sea and they came upon a people devoted to idols. They demanded, “O Moses! Make for us a god like their gods.” He replied, “Indeed, you are a people acting ignorantly!

[7 : 139] What they follow is certainly doomed to destruction and their deeds are in vain.”

[7 : 140]] He added, “Shall I seek for you a god other than Allah, while He has honoured you above the others?”
