Many years ago, my team and I resolved a problem that our company was facing by the help of Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala. The manager was so happy with the result, that he nominated us to present to the highest top management – the CEO himself. When we arrived there, the CEO praised us and mentioned me by my name. As a human being, the experience made me feel really happy, strong, and confident.

But you know what? This was really not a big deal. Because the real deal is when Allah, the One whom everything in existence glorifies Him subhanahu wa ta’ala, mentions OUR names. How happy would that make us feel?

🔵 Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala says in the Qur’an: “Therefore remember Me, I will remember you.” [Surah Al-Baqarah 2: 152]
🔵 Allah also said in a hadith Qudsi: “I am as My servant thinks of Me, and I am with him when he remembers Me. If he remembers Me to himself, I remember him to Myself; and if he remembers Me in a gathering, I remember him in a gathering better than that…” [Sahih Muslim 2675a]

When we remember Allah, Allah will boast and praise us by our names to His angels. So never let go of the remembrance of Allah. For when we remember Allah, Allah will remember us, as well as grant us ridha / contentment.

🔵 He subhanahu wa ta’ala says: “So be patient (O Prophet) with what they say. And glorify the praises of your Lord before sunrise and before sunset, and glorify Him in the hours of the night and at both ends of the day, so that you may be pleased (i.e. attain ridha).” [Surah Ta-Ha 20: 130]

The greatest state that anyone ever wishes to have is contentment, and Allah says that when we remember Him throughout the day, He will grant us that contentment. Alhamdulillah.
