Why did Allah say about Prophet Suleiman that he was a great servant of Allah?
Because :
إِنَّهُۥٓ أَوَّابٌ
he ˹constantly˺ turned ˹to Allah˺. Ch 38 V 30
Story of the first case of judgement:
And ˹remember˺ when David and Solomon passed judgment regarding the crops ruined ˹at night˺ by someone’s sheep, and We were witness to their judgments. Ch 21 V 78
We guided ˹young˺ Solomon to a fairer settlement,1 and granted each of them wisdom and knowledge. We subjected the mountains as well as the birds to hymn ˹Our praises˺ along with David. It is We Who did ˹it all˺. Ch 21 V 79
Footnote From Imam Mustafa Khattab’s Quran Translation: A man’s flock of sheep strayed into another man’s vineyard, eating and destroying all his produce. When the two men came to David for judgment, he ruled that the shepherd must give his animals to the vineyard owner in compensation for the damage. On their way out, the two men met young Solomon and the shepherd complained to him. Solomon discussed the case with his father and suggested that the sheep should be kept with the man who lost his produce so he may benefit from their milk and wool, while the shepherd worked on the farm to restore it to its original state. Eventually the famer would take back his farm in perfect condition, and the sheep would be returned to the shepherd. David was impressed by his son’s insight and approved his fair judgment immediately.
Story of the second case of judgement:
Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “There were two women with whom there were their two sons. A wolf came and took away the son of one of them. That lady said to her companion, ‘The wolf has taken your son.’ The other said, ‘But it has taken your son.’ So both of them sought the judgment of (the Prophet) David who judged that the boy should be given to the older lady. Then both of them went to (the Prophet) Solomon, son of David and informed him of the case. Solomon said, ‘Give me a knife so that I may cut the child into two portions and give one half to each of you.’ The younger lady said, ‘Do not do so; may Allah bless you ! He is her child.’ On that, he gave the child to the younger lady.” Abu Huraira added: By Allah! I had never heard the word ‘Sakkin’ as meaning knife, except on that day, for we used to call it “Mudya”. [Al-Bukhari]
Prophet Suleiman inherited from Prophet Dawud:
And David was succeeded by Solomon, who said, “O people! We have been taught the language of birds, and been given everything ˹we need˺. This is indeed a great privilege.” Ch 27 V 16
Dua of Prophet Suleiman:
He prayed, “My Lord! Forgive me, and grant me an authority that will never be matched by anyone after me. You are indeed the Giver ˹of all bounties˺.” Ch 38 V 35
The power and dominion Allah bestowed upon Suleiman:
So We subjected to him the wind, blowing gently at his command to wherever he pleased.
And ˹We subjected to him˺ every builder and diver of the jinn,

2 more months left for the beautiful month of Ramadan to come back!!! ☪
May Allah make us reach the month of Ramadan with the best health, ameen 🤲
Important Questions About Ramadan:
In the name of Allah I start, indeed all praise belong to Allah and may the peace and the blessing of Allah be upon His messenger, Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w).
Answered by Ustadh Majed Mahmoud with putting my own words:
Question 1) Why do we have to fast in Ramadan? 🥪❌ 🥛❌
Answer 1a) Because Allah told us to do so
Answer 1b) Allah says in the Quran to take Ramadan seriously because we NEED Taqwa (the charger to your soul) 🔌🔋
🎀Taqwa: comes from the Arabic word "Wiqaya" which means protection and it means to put a barrier between you and the punishment of Allah 🎀
🌴This barrier is: is for Allah to see you where you are supposed to be seen and for Allah not to see where you are not supposed to be seen 🌴
For example: 5 in the morning you are supposed to be praying fajr, so you have to be seen praying fajr and when you do this, Taqwa increases. ✔
You are not supposed to be seen on a Friday night in a club, good, Taqwa goes up. ✔
Question 2) ⭐✨ What makes Ramadan beautiful and special? ✨⭐
1) The Shayatin (the devils) are shackled ⛓⛓
2) The gates of the Fires are shut such that no gate among them would be opened ✖
3) The gates of Paradise are opened such that no gate among them would be closed ✔
4) There are those whom Allah frees from the Fire 💚🧡
⛅Abu Hurairah narrated that :
the Messenger of Allah said: "On the first night of the month of Ramadan, the Shayatin are shackled, the jinns are restrained, the gates of the Fires are shut such that no gate among them would be opened. The gates of Paradise are opened such that no gate among them would be closed, and a caller calls: 'O seeker of the good; come near!' and 'O seeker of evil; stop! For there are those whom Allah frees from the Fire.' And that is every night."
Jami` at-Tirmidhi Vol. 2, Book 3, Hadith 682 Grade: Hasan (Darussalam)
5) Allah offers to forgive all of your sins (there is another opinion of the scholars which is that Allah also offers to forgive your major sins):
⛅Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Whoever observes fasts during the month of Ramadan out of sincere faith, and hoping to attain Allah's rewards, then all his past sins will be forgiven." Sahih al-Bukhari Vol. 1, Book 2, Hadith 38
🎀Sincere faith: you believe that this is an obligation, you fast for the sake of Allah 🎀
🔴If a person would say: "Sometimes I get a horrible attitude and I curse.. etc. and I dont think Allah fully accepted that day of fasting" 🔴
Read this Hadith then:
⛅Narrated Abu Huraira:
I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying regarding Ramadan, "Whoever prayed at night in it (the month of Ramadan) out of sincere Faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven." Sahih al-Bukhari Vol. 3, Book 32, Hadith 226.
🎀Night prayer: is what you pray after Isha to fajr, but the best time to pray night prayer is the last third of the night 🎀
*️⃣If someone says: "One day I became soo lazy that I missed the night prayer" *️⃣
🔴I cant fast the whole month properly nor pray night prayer the whole month properly…. what can I do to be forgiven in the month of Ramadan???…..:🔴
⛅Abu Hurairah narrated that:
The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: "Whoever stands (in the voluntary night prayer of) Ramadan out of faith and in the hope of reward, his previous sins will be forgiven. And whoever spends the night of Lailat Al-Qadr in prayer out of faith and in the hope of reward, his previous sins will be forgiven." Sunan an-Nasa'i Vol. 6, Book 47, Hadith 5030
Grade: Sahih (Authentic hadith) (Darussalam)
🎀Narrated `Aisha:
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Search for the Night of Qadr in the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadan." Reference: Sahih al-Bukhari 2017 🎀
⚠ ⛅⚠ Abu Huraira reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, ascended the pulpit and he said, “Amin, amin, amin.” It was said, “O Messenger of Allah, you ascended the pulpit and said amin, amin, amin.” The Prophet said, “Verily, Gabriel came to me and he said: Whoever reaches the month of Ramadan and he is not forgiven, then he will enter Hellfire and Allah will cast him far away, so say amin. I said amin. (I didnt write the whole hadith)"
Ṣaḥīḥ Ibn Ḥibbān 915 Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Al-Albani
6) There is this special and beautiful feeling we have during the month of Ramadan. We feel sweetness in our hearts that cannot be described, and we feel tranquility! 🤍✨
(I wrote this👆, I didn't get it from Brother Majed Mahmoud)
Question 3) What do I do in Ramadan? 🔌🔋🔋🔋🔌
(I wrote this👇, I didnt get it from Brother Majed Mahmoud)
(Do what you can from this list)
1) First, Do your OBLIGATIONS. 1️⃣✔
Dont leave your 5 OBLIGATORY prayers. Ask Allah to help you pray them, and put your trust in Allah and do your best. Never give up! Dont cut your connection with Allah (the salah)! 💟
2) Try to perfect your obligations 💯⁉
We can never be perfect nor our actions, but we can try to make our actions close to perfection. Like in salah, have more concentration. Series about the beauty of Salah: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLYO6Oz7uwCSjQKB0DYxhtR7gu9jjBjLzf
3) Make ALOT of dua's 🤲🤲🤲
⛅Abu Sa’id al-Khudri reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “There is no Muslim who calls upon Allah, without sin or cutting family ties, but that Allah will give him one of three answers: He will quickly fulfill his supplication, He will store it for him in the Hereafter, or He will divert an evil from him similar to it.” They said, “In that case we will ask for more.” The Prophet said, “Allah has even more.” Musnad Aḥmad 10749 Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Al-Albani
⛅Abu Huraira reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said:
The supplication of every one of you is granted if he does not grow impatient and says: I supplicated but it was not granted. Sahih Muslim 2735a
4) Try to finish reading the whole Quran this month (21 pages everyday), understand the Quran and listen to it and memorize it as much as you can. 📚📚📚
5) Pray the voluntary prayers: Sunan Al-Rawatib and pray Taraweeh and pray salah of the Duha. ⏰🤲🌟
6) Take care of your body: Eat healthy foods🍇🍳🥛, exercise🛴 , have enough sleep💤 (dont oversleep)⏰ , and be clean👕🧼.
7) Before Ramadan comes, try to control yourself and stop the bad things you do. 🚫🚫🚨🚨
8) Have halal fun with your family. 🎮🎮🎮📺📺
It is permissible to have fun in Islam but not the things that take us away from Allah nor we are allowed to have fun to the point we forget our Hereafter. ☀🌈
9) Take care of your ties of kinship, talk to your parents, aunts, grandpa etc. 📞📱
10) Encourage your 7-year-old children to pray and (the ones that can endure fasting the whole day) ask them to join you in fasting. 🤝💗
11) Listen to Islamic lectures with your family and send them to your friends 🌷💻
I recommend you to watch this, it is important so we are certain Islam is the true religion: Why Islam is rationally the truth: https://youtu.be/3_JcakBpoWA
12) Give charity every single day, even if it is a small amount
And watch videos (that have no harram scenes) about people that lost a blessing SO you dont complain about the things you have and think they have no value. Let's thank Allah! 💖
13) *Help in doing the house chores*🧽🧺🧹
14) Take care of your neighbors (with taking a mask and leaving space because of Corona Virus disease) 🚪 💭
15) Help in cleaning the streets 🚗🌄🧹(while wearing a mask) and take care of the animals you see. 🍗🍞🤏
If you are sick, may Allah heal you ameen, please read this:
⛅Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri and Abu Huraira:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "No fatigue, nor disease, nor sorrow, nor sadness, nor hurt, nor distress befalls a Muslim, even if it were the prick he receives from a thorn, but that Allah expiates some of his sins for that." Sahih al-Bukhari Vol. 7, Book 70, Hadith 545
Question 4) What do I do after Ramadan? 🌖📌📅
Answer 1) Try to continue doing the good things you did in Ramadan and if you didnt fast some days in Ramadan (for a legitimate reason like if you were sick) then make them up and try to fast the voluntary days like Mondays and Thursdays. 💕
Answer 2) Ask Allah to accept the good deeds we did 🤲🤲🤲
Answer 3) Ask Allah to make us reach the next Ramadan 📅☪
🏆🎉May Allah make us among the winners, ameen🏆🎉
