When Prophet Suleiman, peace be upon him, and his army were marching, an ant saw this and warned the others. Allah says:
🔵 “And when they (Prophet Suleiman and his soldiers) came across a valley of ants, an ant warned: O ants! Go quickly into your homes, so Suleiman and his armies do not crush you unknowingly.” [Surah An-Naml 27: 18]
.
The ant specifically mentioned Prophet Suleiman’s name. The question is, how did this ant know about Prophet Suleiman? Consider this hadith where Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
🔵 “Indeed, Allah, His Angels, the inhabitants of the heavens and the earth – even the ant in its hole, even the fish – pray for the one who teaches the people to do good.” [At-Tirmidhi 2685 | Graded Hasan]
.
Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala, and everything else that pretty much covers the heavens and the earth, send blessings to (i.e. ask Allah to forgive and to reward) the ones who teach people that which is beneficial; and the uppermost of that knowledge, is the knowledge of this Deen.
.
Brothers and sisters in Islam, you may not have many followers, or have a big attendance in the gatherings that you teach, but know that Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala Himself sends His blessings and rahmah upon you because you make da’wah, and give beneficial advice to others. May Allah bless us, and accept all of our good deeds, ameen.
