Do you know that Allah subhana wa ta’ala offers us a lifetime pass protection from the Hellfire in Ramadan?
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: “At every breaking of the fast (i.e. iftar), Allah has people whom He frees (from the Fire), and that happens every night.” [Ibn Majah 1643]
Imagine this like we’re receiving a life-time membership that we will never enter the Hellfire. Period!
So when there is a selection of people whom Allah chooses, then that means we have to work hard so that we are selected as well.
We really have to work extra hard in Ramadan. Ramadan is not a month for vacation, not a month for tasks and activities that can be postponed to after Ramadan. So please do not make statements such as ‘My schedule in Ramadan is like anytime before Ramadan.’ Know that Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was able to upgrade further his ibadah in Ramadan. This is the attitude of the believers in Ramadan, so strive to make this month even better than the months before.
May Allah subhana wa ta’ala select us among those whom He chooses to be saved from the Hellfire, ameen.
